Project Overview

A plastics manufacturer in Canton, Illinois, partnered with Egenolf Industrial to manage the logistics and rigging for the installation of new extrusion and preforming equipment. Given the lift’s complexity and the confined installation space, the project required precise coordination, specialized equipment, and experienced project management to be executed safely and efficiently.

Scope of Work

Egenolf Industrial provided turnkey support from storage through installation, including:

Warehouse Storage: Received and stored the new equipment until the customer was ready for installation.
Transportation: Safely transported the equipment from our warehouse to the Canton job site using Egenolf’s fleet and transport equipment.
Rigging & Crane Coordination: Managed the rental of a specialized crane to meet the project’s unique lift requirements.
Precision Installation: Lifted the equipment 110 feet over the roof of the facility and carefully lowered it through a hatch in the fourth-floor ceiling. The equipment was then methodically lowered through the third floor and set into place on the second floor.
Project Management: Oversaw every phase of the process, ensuring proper alignment, communication, and safety standards throughout the multi-level installation.

Results

The complex installation was completed successfully over a four-day period, without any damage to the building or equipment. Through careful planning, skilled rigging, and continuous coordination between teams, Egenolf Industrial delivered a safe and efficient solution for this challenging multi-story installation.
